StudyTrace on iPhone collects only the streams enabled by your research study after consent. Join with a secure study URL or QR code from your research team.
2. Consent
Read the consent flow in the app. Data collection stays off until you explicitly agree.
3. Join
Paste the secure study URL or scan the QR code your team provides. The app accepts HTTPS links.
What participants should expect
- Location collection only if your study enables it and you grant permission.
- Survey prompts and optional photo attachments when your protocol uses them.
- Optional Screen Time based app-usage monitoring if your study requests it.
- The in-app quit action stops participation locally.
Study URL format
Researchers distribute URLs like the example below. The app should receive this inside StudyTrace, not in Safari.
